Gillibrand's Selective Outrage on Judge Kavanaugh

Press Release

Date: Sept. 19, 2018
Location: New York, NY
Issues: Elections

U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) today slammed her opponent Kirsten Gillibrand for her selective outrage in the wake of allegations against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

"Another day, another hypocrisy. Kirsten Gillibrand practices selective outrage on an alleged incident decades ago, while she funds her campaign with dirty Harvey Weinstein money and systematically ignores recent abuses among other public leaders," said Farley.

"If the FBI should investigate 30-year-old allegations involving a group of teenagers, why shouldn't there be an investigation into the allegations of DNC Vice Chair Keith Ellison?" said Farley.

"Keith Ellison is running to be the top law-enforcement official in Minnesota and is facing current domestic violence accusations, yet Kirsten Gillibrand is silent," said Farley.

Here in New York, almost the entire Democratic establishment has called for the resignation of Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse over multiple reports of ongoing domestic violence. Everyone, that is except Gillibrand.

"Sexual harassment is a serious issue that is finally being dealt with in the public eye. Gillibrand's inconsistency, driven by political expedience and ambition, makes a mockery of real victims who deserve a hearing," said Farley. "Gillibrand's real motivation is to delay Kavanaugh's nomination that she has opposed from the start because she wants to play politics with the Supreme Court instead of doing the job voters elected her to do."

Chele Farley is an outsider with over 25 years of experience in the private sector. She is the Republican, Conservative and Reform Party candidate for U.S. Senate. Farley lives in New York City with her husband Richard and their three sons. For more information about U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley, please visit www.CheleFarleyforSenate.com.
